  4. Reason: The rate is normal for a healthy and controlled growing economy. However, during my research, I discover that during the mid-1990’s they had political and economic instability that resulted in an inflation rate that varied between 45% and -29.2%. Wow!

Country: Spain

Inflation rate in 2005: 3.2%

This is normal for Spain. However, earlier, in the early 1990’s, the inflation rate was around 2.6% which is also within normal limits. Spain has been staying pretty “cool” for the past ten to fifteen years.

Country:Peru
Inflation rate: 2005 2.2%

This is a normal rate for Peru. However in the early 1990's, Peru had a high inflation rate in which 48.6% was its highest in 1993.

Country: Italy

Inflation rate in 2005: 2.30%

Reason: This rate is relatively accurate for a healthy growing economy. However in the early 1900’s the inflation rate in Italy was 3%. Overall for Italy they have done pretty well over the years.

4. Reason: This inflation rate is normal for Guyana. It has remianed around the same for the past couple of years. 1993-1995 the inflation rate was abnormally high, and it has been around the same since then.

4. Reason: This is a bit low for Brazil. Its normal rate is 4.9%.
This is reasonable compared to 1990 when it was 2111.4!!!

Inflation rate in 2005: 8.4%

This is normal for Mexico. its inflation rate of 8.4% is one of the highest. Also its growth rate is 2.4%.

This has been the lowest inflation rate within the last 5 years. 1999 the inflation rate was 86%.

High inflation gives an incentive to switch from domestic to foreign currencies as a store of value, which is called currency substitution
This is high for turkey
